mAbDx Chief Scientific Officer Michael Marusich, Ph.D., presents recent research to identify and characterize new mtDAMPs that drive the Systemic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (SIRS) after trauma

Wed 11 September 2013

mAbDx Chief Scientific Officer Michael Marusich, Ph.D., presented a research report titled “Defining the contribution of mitochondrial peptides to SIRS after tissue injury” at the 2013 Mérieux Research Grants Meeting, held in Annecy, France, Sept 11-13.  The work is a collaborative research project by Michael Marusich, Ph.D., mAbDx, and Carl Hauser, M.D., Harvard, to identify new mitochondrial Damage Associated Molecular Patterns (mtDAMPs) as biomarkers and drivers of Systemic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (SIRS) after trauma.  For more see: Michael Marusich, Ph.D., mAbDx, and Carl Hauser, M.D., Harvard, awarded collaborative Mérieux Research Grant to identify and characterize new mtDAMPs that drive systemic inflammation after trauma.
